| This is a layout of the parts for Haruka. This model was a recast from HobbyFan. The original manufacturer was A-Brand. | |
| This picture shows the parts after they have been sanded and mounted on toothpicks for painting. The larger parts such as the single cast body piece are mounted on 1/8 inch wood dowel as toothpicks are too weak. | |
| A well-turned leg is always attractive. | |
The hair was base coated with an orange tint. Then it was highlighted with the airbrush using three successively lighter shades of color. |
|
| Pigtails and bows are always cute. The end of the braid has been shaded with the airbrush. | |
Shoes and knee socks add a touch of class. Note the small area of brown overspray on the sock. This was repaired with a brush. |
|
| Another view of the leg. Gloss paints were used for the shoe to give a highly polished look. A flat paint was used for the sock. The flesh color was lightened by mixing a flat flesh paint with a gloss white. This gives a semi-gloss reflectivity to the skin. You can see the overall effect. Different areas of the model reflect light differently. |
